1. RETA’s role
RETA is a browser-based shopping comparison utility. It can search supported retailers, display returned product information, route a retailer-page query into RETA, save local shopping records, watch prices and provide local or optional AI-assisted recommendations.
RETA does not sell products, accept payment, hold inventory, place an order on your behalf, guarantee fulfillment or act as an agent for a retailer.
2. Purchases are with the retailer
When you open or buy a product, your relationship is with the retailer, marketplace seller, payment provider and delivery service involved in that transaction. Their terms, privacy policy, return policy, warranty and dispute process apply.
You are responsible for reviewing the exact seller, item, variant, pack size, condition, membership requirement, coupon terms, shipping, taxes, delivery and final checkout total.
3. Product information can be delayed, incomplete or wrong
RETA relies on information returned by retailer websites. Retailers can personalize results, change prices, limit inventory, require sign-in, present a bot check or change their pages. RETA may fail to retrieve a retailer, misread a field or show information that changes before you buy.
The live retailer page is the source for the transaction. RETA’s result is a comparison aid, not a binding quote or promise.
4. Price Watch
Price Watch is informational. Scheduled or passive checks can fail, and a price marked current may change immediately afterward. A stale label means RETA could not confirm a fresh result. Alerts or badge counts are not guaranteed, and RETA is not responsible for a missed price drop, expired sale or purchase decision.
5. Local and optional AI recommendations
Top Picks and conversational responses are recommendations, not facts or professional advice. They can misunderstand your request, compare non-equivalent products or cite information that is incomplete. Verify every important claim on the live product page.
When you configure OpenAI or Gemini, you are responsible for your API key, provider account, model choice, usage charges and compliance with the provider’s terms. Do not use RETA’s AI features for medical, legal, financial, safety-critical or other professional decisions.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use RETA to:
- Break applicable law or violate a retailer’s rights or access controls.
- Attempt to bypass CAPTCHA, login, rate limits, security measures or technical restrictions.
- Interfere with RETA, retailer systems or other users.
- Reverse engineer or redistribute RETA except where applicable law expressly permits it.
- Use automated activity at a scale that could burden retailer services.
We may change, suspend or discontinue features when necessary for security, retailer compatibility, legal compliance or product development.
7. Affiliate links
Some links may be affiliate links that can earn RETA a commission from an eligible purchase. Affiliate availability does not guarantee a retailer’s inclusion or a result’s accuracy. Read the Affiliate Disclosure.
8. Names and trademarks
RETA and its original design are associated with RETA. Retailer names, logos, product names and other marks belong to their respective owners. References identify supported services or products and do not imply sponsorship, endorsement or partnership.
9. Privacy
The Privacy Policy explains local storage, retailer requests, Compare with RETA, Price Watch, saved purchases, optional AI and website logs.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RETA is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted operation, complete retailer coverage, accurate product matching, fresh prices or successful alerts.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RETA and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages; lost savings, profits or data; retailer disputes; missed alerts; product harm; or decisions based on extension or AI output. Where liability cannot be excluded, total liability arising from free use of RETA will be limited to the greater of the amount you paid directly to RETA for the affected service during the prior twelve months or $25.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limits, so portions of this section may not apply to you.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as RETA changes. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. Continuing to use RETA after an update means you accept the revised terms to the extent permitted by law.
